Xcar goes analog with the Ferrari F40

Filed under: Classics , Coupe , Performance , Videos , Supercars , Ferrari , Autoblog Black We will forever be in love with the Ferrari F40 . From its blunt-force appearance to its 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine living and breathing perilously close to the driver’s head, the F40, the last model designed and built with input from Enzo Ferrari himself, has been and likely always will be the Ferrari of Ferraris for automotive enthusiasts who grew up in the 1980s

LaFerrari XX prototype pushed so hard that its suspension fails

Filed under: Spy Photos , Coupe , Performance , Videos , Supercars , Ferrari , Specialty Ferrari has a real challenge on its hands. It made the new LaFerrari hybrid hypercar so extreme already that it left little room to crank it up to 11 and turn it into an XX development prototype like it did with the Enzo and the 599 before it.

Celebrating the Ferrari F40 and the man who raced it

Filed under: Motorsports , Classics , Coupe , Performance , Videos , Ferrari , UK , Racing The Ferrari F40 has become one of the iconic cars of the last 50 years. It presaged the supercars of the future with its extensive use of carbon fiber and turbocharged engine, but it was also old school with no traction control, stability control or even anti-lock supervision to save the driver if they got in over their head. In its latest video, XCar Films takes a look at the F40 through the lens of a man in the UK who specializes in keeping them on the road and occasionally races these quintessential sports cars

James Glickenhaus teases sleek SCG 003 supercar

Filed under: Coupe , Performance , Videos , Ferrari , Racing He may not have known it at the time, but James Glickenhaus started a small revolution when he commissioned Pininfarina to turn his Ferrari Enzo into a tribute to the legendary 330 P3/4. The P4/5 is what resulted, and Ferrari gave its blessing for it to wear the Prancing Horse emblem – something it hadn’t done for a coachbuilt custom in decades. A slew of rebodied Ferraris followed, prompting the factory to launch its own coachbuilding division

Tax The Rich returns with reckless driving in a Ferrari 288 GTO

Filed under: Classics , Coupe , Videos , Ferrari , Racing Tax The Rich , the YouTube channel that exists mainly to terrorize ultra-rare, ultra-expensive cars like the Jaguar XJ220 , Ferrari Enzo and Rolls-Royce Phantom , has come out with its first video in two months, starring one of the rarest Ferraris of the past 40 years – the 288 GTO . Now, by Tax The Rich standards, its treatment of the 288 is better than what the Enzo or the Rolls (especially) got in their videos. The most cringe-worthy parts are in the very beginning, before transitioning to actual roads (yes, we know the 288 was originally meant as a Group B rally car, but that makes zipping about on grass and dirt in a very rare Ferrari no less difficult to watch)

This is what it’s like to drive Magnum PI’s Ferrari 308

Filed under: Classics , Convertible , Coupe , Performance , Videos , Ferrari , Celebrities , Specialty In the pantheon of 80s pop culture, few cars have such provenance as the Ferrari 308 . Sure, vehicular icons like the DeLorean and Pontiac Trans Am (especially in time machine and KITT guise) made us swoon back in the day, but there’s something about the bright red Italian that makes it stand out; perhaps it is the 308’s performance credibility, at least when compared to other memorable cars of its ilk. Our fondness for Magnum PI’s Ferrari 308 is shared by Oscar Verdugo, who’s featured in the video you’ll see below.
